The TOX Powerpackage – the energy saving pneumatic operated cylinder with integrated oil system and automatic activated power stroke. Capacities from 2 to 2000 kN (1/4 to 225 tons), total strokes up to 400 mm (15.75 in), power strokes up to 80 mm (3.15 in. Longer power strokes are available using our split KT system.
Patented: bypass system, hydraulic return stroke dampening, absolute air-oil separation.

The TOX Powerpackage is available in 2 versions, one using 30 to 90 psi (2 to 6 bar) operating air pressure, and one for 20 to 145 psi (2 to 10 bar) air pressure. Both versions are very similar except for the internal intensification ratio of the integrated pneumohydraulic system.
Longer strokes driven by design can be achieved with the 145 psi version rather than the 90 psi version, which is a reason for the 145 psi cylinders being used very often also in 90 psi installations, but rated for the corresponding force at that air pressure. One such example is a 145 psi Powerpackage type S8 rated at a nominal capacity of 8 tons and generating 5 tons when used with 90 psi air pressure. The dimensional tables also show the corresponding press forces for the 145 psi series when operated at 90 psi.
Typically, manufacturing plants have a 90 psi nominal pressure compressed air system with an effective pressure of 70 – 80 psi, on which all the TOX- Powerpackage series can operate.
Air spring - Powerpackages have a pneumatic air spring in place of the mechanical intensifier spring. The piston of the integrated oil system is pressurized with a low pressure air volume. This is particularly useful for punching applications because of the dampening effect, or in pressfit operations due to the individual adjustment possibilities.

Preferred Series
The preferred series cylinders are highlighted in the Powerpackage – Selection Tables. These units offer an attractive price and are typically available from stock or one week after receipt of the order. Sometimes, it is more cost efficient to select a preferred series cylinder, possibly with longer stroke, than a perfectly matched cylinder from the standard series. Examples (1.3 MB)

If you would like to select the Powerpackage by yourself, you will need the following information
In case, the total stroke GH > 200 mm (7.87 in) and
the power stroke KH > 12 mm (0.47 in), then select a Powerpackage from the 145 psi series, even when operating at only 90 psi.
For all other cases, select a cylinder from either the 90 or 145 psi series. Please keep in mind that the full capacity of the cylinder is rated at the nominal air pressure.
If the mounting space is restricted, then select from either our compact cylinders K and EK or the split TOX-Powerpackage KT.
We offer tailor made solutions for punching or marking applications, such as our high speed punching cylinder Type T (130 kB) with stroke frequencies up to 550 strokes/min, or the marking cylinder Type RP (46 kB) with non-rotating working rod.
If a unit can not be found in our standard program, then there is a strong possibility to find a cylinder in our vast product line of special units, or we will be glad to look into a cylinder which meets your individual requirements.
